What are Spirulina Powder benefits, and how to use them?
It is ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE, introducing Spirulina. Its primarily known as an excellent food for commercial fish and other domestic animals in many countries.
It is also superb as a therapeutic food supplement in some human disease states according to many health gurus out there; find it yourself by googling it, you'll find tons of it.
Some researchers stated that it tested scientifically. Research strongly suggests that in addition to being an excellent source of nutrition, these micro-algae may have potent anti-cancer properties, protect the body's cellular system against free radical damage, and successfully treat liver diseases.
Researchers have also been suggesting it is ideal for treating patients who are withdrawing from cocaine. On top of all this essential information from the so-called individual gurus, let me also share my knowledge base on my experience consuming Spirulina Powder.
Since I was a little kid, I grew up consuming all kinds of seaweeds; I didn't even know their specific names and never knew Spirulina.
Most of the time, we make it fresh dishes like salad, a slice of tomato, onions, and ginger with a vinegar drizzle, and with a bowl of rice, we enjoy it just that. Now I've learned that they have their scientific names, and I have to respect that after all.
One of them, Spirulina powder got into my radar, and I was anxious to try it, and the first thing I've noticed is the solid fishy distinctive aroma, I should say that rather smell.
I was uncertain about even trying to feel that the scent would not go away from my skin. After all, the tremendous nutrients I could benefit from this powder are still overpowering, so I tried and was surprised.
In my beautiful tropical country, the Philippines, there are hundreds of different seaweeds and Spirulina.

I was puzzled by the results when I started processing the powder. The solid fishy aroma just miraculously disappears on all types of Dinks, from placing a teaspoon on my smoothies to plain and straightforward Hot Tea, which my all-time favorite.
I don't know about other's judgments, but I don't have an issue as far as the scent. Now when it comes to the flavor itself, I only have one thing to say, it is glorious.
If you cannot stand the smell, my solution is to stick to smoothies; lots of fruits would overpowering the accent. As far as making it, I usually measure a teaspoon into a 12 oz cup, and it is even better when you desired to add your favorite flavorings; and Vanilla, hazelnuts, coconut, or plain and straightforward honey is always compatible.
And don't forget if you have an espresso machine that has an excellent frothing wand, you can create a fantastic spirulina Latte with your favorite milk, coconut, almond; yes, its a very unusual beverage, but believe it or not, we serve that in our cafe, customers love it and I love it.
