Mostly related to sudden whiplash, poor posture, severe
muscle tightness, muscle imbalance, and
muscular weakness.

This can also be related to patients complaining of
headache.

Recommended treatment can be stretching, muscle
strengthening, self neck traction and heat/ cold packs.

Outpatient PT may need to also use mechanical traction,
manual treatments, and certain modalities for moderate
to severe cases.
